Microsoft named a Leader in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Analytics and BI Platforms

Today we’re announcing that for the 14th consecutive year1 Microsoft has been positioned as a Leader in the 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms. For the third year, Microsoft is positioned furthest to the right for completeness of vision and furthest up in the ability to execute within the Leaders’ quadrant.

Announcing Power BI Embedded Generation 2 (preview)

We are thrilled to announce that the second generation of Power BI Embedded, referred to as Embedded Gen 2, is available for its Azure subscribers to use during the preview period. All of the Power BI Embedded Gen 1 capabilities such as pausing and resuming the capacity, are preserved in Gen 2 and the price per SKU remains the same, however the Gen 2 capacity resource provides substantial improvements in performance, scale and much more.
